Welcome to Holy Redeemer
Letter from Father Steve
Welcome
to Holy Redeemer. These are good times for us. We are growing. We can see
God doing a good work of renewal, and refreshing. As soon as I was assigned
as Parochial Administrator to Pastor Holy Redeemer, I was impressed with so
many things. The first thing was the people. Someone said to me, "If you
want something, just ask. The people are generous.” So check out all our
organizations like: Men's Club, Council
of Catholic Women, and Knights of Columbus. We have wonderful
ministries including: Outreach and
Loving Hearts to help the poor, and Young at
Heart which provides a lunch and program for those over 55 years old
and young at heart. We even have a Health
Ministry. It seems like everyone is doing everything. Our
staff is wonderful and here to help you any way we can, so give us a
call at
Take time to get to know our Ministers and Ministries. Daniel Schmit is our Coordinator of Youth Ministry and Director of Music and Liturgy. He has a real heart and a vision for ministry at Holy Redeemer. Paul Schlegelmilch is our Director of Religious Education. Our Director of RCIA, and Adult Faith Formation is Emily Frybarger. Emily received her Master of Theology in 2010 from Franciscan University and is excited to minister with us at Holy Redeemer.
We are a Devotional people too. Our Perpetual Adoration Chapel is open to all the churches of the area. We are so blessed to have the Eucharistic Presence of Christ always in our midst. We have the Rosary, Mother of Perpetual Help, Stations of the Cross, Adoration, Cursillo, Regnum Christi, and Christ Renews His Parish (CRHP).
Holy Redeemer is a generous parish and leads the way in supporting Catholic Education. We have a wonderful parents group called Parents for Holy Redeemer. Our parish generously supports Holy Redeemer students who attend Saint Thomas More Academy, Powers Catholic High School, Saint Pius X Flint, Saint John Vianney Flint, Saint Mary Mount Morris, Saint John the Evangelist Fenton. These students and their parents are active in our parish and are a beautiful expression of the life of our parish. As we mutually support one another we experience the true family nature of Holy Redeemer.
So much more is here at Holy Redeemer that cannot be put in a welcome, so let me say again: Welcome! It is really all about Jesus Christ. Everything I wanted to say above is Jesus Christ living and working in so many different ways in so many different people at Holy Redeemer. We would love you to be a part of our Family.
God's Peace and Love to all who visit our website.
On behalf of the Holy Redeemer Community,
Fr. Steve Anderson
